i'm looking for some raised white letter tires to go on my 14" ralleys. Trying to get an idea of what brand looks and performs the best all season. If you got pics and tire sizes it would be great! thanks 8)
This was my '87 back around 1996 after I had just had the new Goodyears put on. These were the best 14" raised white letter tire I had ever had but they don't make them anymore. 🙁
When those wore out I went with BFGoodrich Radial T/A's since that was pretty much the only thing available. They were an okay tire but not nearly as nice as the Goodyears. Traction was worse in both dry and wet.
both my cars and my dakota have raised white lettering. IMO it looks good on anything!! 14's are a thing of the past tho, if i were you id grab some 15s or bigger. i know in winnipeg it almost impossible to find any so once this set is done, they're getting 18's!!
i got some 20's but i don't want to ride them all the time. they are a bit flashy for some places i go. i picked these up for 75 bucks and would love some white raised letters but either way i'll put them on the car.
i think they would look better with white letters. they are old school but i love the original look of these!
BFG has the 245/60/14 (25.6 tall) RWL and if you don't want that wide up front you can run a 205/70/14 with it.(25.4 tall) Sams clubs often have them the cheapest but Walmarts and tirerack are also usually reasonably priced. Stock height is 25.5ish so your speedometer and odometer also stay correct.
