looking for vin number on car

i have a shot 86 4dr cutlass body had been stripped the vin tag on the dash i s gone, the doors are gone where else is there a vin number? frame is still full and out from under the body. the only reason i need the vin is in order to scrap the body i have to have the vin so they know if its been stolen
any help would be good

To scrap it as a rolling chassis you usually need the title. If you don't have the title, cut the car up and haul it in. No VIN or title needed :idea:

might be a build sheet in the passenger side door panel or below the rear seat

well here in nw iowa we just need the vin number of the car. i have been scrapping for years. yea no doors no seat it was all stripped to make a race car a couple years a go.

but dont worry i found it on a tag stuck to the inside of the trunk lid

If the trunk lid is still there check the rpo sticker the vin will be on it.
