Hello,

I am looking at purchasing an 86 Grand National that is somewhat local to me. I do have a few questions on what to look for. It is a 86 model, I am not sure if those came from the factory with braces, I have seen that they are easy to add to stiffen the body up some. Also, is there anything in particular that I need to look at on this car ? I know that the trans and brakes were the weak parts on these cars. I am not looking to purchase a pure garage queen, I am wanting to mod a little bit, but nothing too wild. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Start there. Excellent source for what your looking for.
Also join turbobuick.com and find someone close to you who may be able to view the car with you, to help you through the inspection.
Hope this helps, and if you do buy it, be ready to have lots of fun, but to be quite frustrated from time to time as well!!
Good luck.
