looking to learn about shifters!

So just out of curiosity how eould one go about changing from column shift to floor consol shift? I know its possible i just want to umderstand how! Thanks for your time!

To do it correctly, you will need a steering column from a console shift car, the console, the shifter, cable, brackets ...etc. Best thing to do is find all of this from a donor car or buy a console shifter set up from someone on here. And also, it will help to have the trans and shifter being of the same speed (3 or 4speed). You can make a 3speed shifter work with a 4 speed trans and visa versa, but it doesnt look as good and creates more headaches trying to match all the parts up.
