I got a 74 350 its a street motor.. My starter just took a dump on me today..so ive been thinking of getting a oem power master..so whats the difference between a mini starter and an upgraded oem one?how reliable are the 2?

The mini ones are nice because they are lighter, have more power and aren't too expensive most of the times but I have heard a lot of issues with the cheap ones. I know Skip White sells a decent one on ebay for about $70 IIRC which is what I just bought. If clearance around the header is an issue I would go with a mini starter but if not theres nothing wrong with an oem replacement. I have an oem replacement from the 90s and its still working fine
