yes this morning i started my 81 malibu wag and i noticed white smoke coming from my exhoust accompenied by wat looks like coolant any thoughts on what it could be i checked my oil and theres no water in there and no oil in my antifreeze so how can i tell if its my head gasket ,intake gasket , or cracked block tommorrow ill probally start with a compression check but any help will be appreciated oh yea this is still my 229 v6 im talking about thanks

Does it smell like coolant? You would probably notices a drop in performance or rough idle if it was a head gasket. Typically one or two cylinders would be affected and have very low to no compression. It would sound like you unplugged an ignition wire or two. If you do a compression test and all compression is good and your sure it is antifreeze being burned then it would be time to look for any coolant around the water passages of the intake. Smell the exhaust and see if it smells sweet, like maple syrup. Compression test is next. Good luck. Lets just hope it was some condensation in the exhaust and it just steamed it's way out.

i hope you guys are right with it being condensation if it is shouldnt it stop after a while tommorow ill get more into it
