Looky what I just bought!!!

The guy posted it on craigslist this morning and I got there first. $1850 and drove it home. 113,000 miles, no rust and never wrecked. Looks like its dented at the fender and door in the pic but it must be a glare. Its pretty straight but the passengers door has a big dent. The AC works too. Drove it home about 20 miles and seems OK except for an exhaust leak and valve cover leaking. I am NOT stuck with just a motorcycle anymore! Woohoo

How do I tell if its a true SS?

Pretty much will have to find the broadcast sheet and look for z15 on it

Not really anything "special" about an SS other than appearance in these years

I've been digging in my attic and shed through my highly unorganized G body parts boxes for a couple hours. I scored some great stuff that this truck needs. It is missing two pull strap covers and I found two. I have a group of nicer parts ready for tomorrows thrash. I have decided to pull this 305 and replace ALL seals and gaskets including rear main. I am going to put in a new timing chain too since the cover will be off. Its left some pretty good puddles in my driveway. Give everything a good power washing too.
