st-jean baptiste ,quebec,
I need a radiator for my LT1 converted 84 cutlass ,

does an LT1 F body (camaro) radiator , fit our G bodies ?

Ican't say yes, or no, for sure. It should ...

I'm running a 3rd gen f-body radiator in my 86 Cutlass and it's a bolt in. For comparason, this is it from Summit.

Now technically, an LT1 f-body is a 4th gen f-body. And Summit shows a differant radiator for it.

I know Summit sometimes uses generic pics, but mine looks really close to the one in the pic for the 3rd gen. It has the dimensions listed and they are differant.

With the LT1 being a reverse cooled engine, it may very well need a differant radiator.

thanks Doug ,

it seems to fit nice in there but th LT1 hoses ouput are at different height ....at least I know i dont need a custom job ...

the price at summit,is great also, compared to griffin .

is the rad single or two rows thick ? never had any heating problem since you put this in your car ?

thanks

Dan

I ran the 3rd gen radiator along with the f-body dual electric fans in my last car with a 383 and never had any problems. I am looking to do the wiring of the fans differantly but not because of cooling problems. Matter of fact, I'll be using the exact same radiator and fans in the Cutlass I'm building now.

I think it's a single row radiator but I'm not sure. It's in storage right now 5 miles away in my nephews garage.
