hello again forum, getting ready to drop a motor and as you know I am re-using the stock manifold that i had cleaned. it is stripped of all hardware and i am pretty sure what bolts are going where and what i will be blocking off, because i am not using egr/computer controlled in this car.

i have below 2 pics of the manifold from the top view.
in the 1st pic i whited out the holes i am sure i know of, but circled in red, the ones that i need identified.

by identify i mean, i just need to know what to keep (and what it is for i.e water sending unit etc) and what needs to be plugged off.

as always any help is appreciated and i am very thankful for the help i have gotten so far on this rebuild. g body forum is truly a great place for...g bodys 🙂

From left to right...

The two at the rear of the manifold are coolant passages. The upper one can be plugged, the lower will be for your heater hose fitting if you're running a heater, or can be safely plugged.

The next one behind the carb pad is a vaccuum port that can supply your transmission or power brakes.
Same with the one in front of the carb.

The small hole towards the edge below that is a bracket mounting point, and can be left as-is, same with the one just behind the thermostat housing.

The three holes along the front edge are all coolant passages again, and your temp sender(s) will go there, and the rest can be plugged.

I couldn't ask for a better answer, thanks alot man..gonna make this build go alot more smoother.

Have a great one forum!
