Manual valve bodies

I want to try a manual valve body in one of my projects. I have the choice between engine braking and non engine braking. Which one would be better for street use and why?

They have their good and bad. If you have engine braking, downshifting the trans at too high an rpm will try to throw you through the windshield. It does help if you do like road racing or something with going down hills and you want the engine to help slow you down. If you are cognizant of rpm and try not to downshift it above 1500-2000 rpm it is ok on the street.

Thanks for the info, so would you say the engine braking is better for street use vs non engine braking? I was told non engine braking was for strip use.

I would think it’s good to still have on the street. Yes you don’t need it for drag racing

Your TC stall plays into engine braking as well, a lower stall is going to grap harder than a higher stall will.

And yeah you can do compression skids with it as well🫣🤣
