I know this overall topic has been covered in the past, but I have one question about the wiring that I have not seen discussed. I am installing a Mark VIII fan on my 455 powered 81 GP. I was going to order a Dakota digital dual fan controller and may still be on that path, depending on the feedback here. In the box with the fan was the pictured module, and is described by the seller as a "Mark VIII Ford CB, that makes wiring a breeze!". What does this "CB" do exactly? Does it work like a controller to bring the fan on in stages? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

I ran the MarkVII fans for several years, but never used a controller like that. It may be the stock Ford controller, but have no idea on how to wire it up and make it work. I had heard it was controlled by the ECM, ....

Check out Capers Electronics for a wiring harness. A relay or a set of relays will be needed. Plus something will need to command the fans too come on such as a temp switch.
