Cardboard to metal. 2 magnets inside rocker to keep section flush, 1 on section for a handle.

Tacked. Now filling in. Doing this with a cheap craftsman 110v mig is tough, thats some thin metal. My son and i are taking turns on the welder. Its slow going since the welder only has min/max and wire speed...no real adjustments, ugh

Holiday time and weather got in the way.

I know its ugly. Really ugly. But its solid and gives me a good platform to weld the crossmember to. Ive grown to really dislike thin metal and 110v migs with apmost no adjustments.

Now for the floor.

It is amazing to me that all the rust on Rusty Regal didnt get the rear crossmember area. I was able to get the section i need with minimal damage after drilling out the spot welds and using some persuasion.

I need to fix the floor holes before installing this.

Need to get some weld through primer too
