missing shifter parts

hi there,,i have a floor shifter from a cutlass and i think it is missing the spring,that holds the j bar looking thing in the detent part,,does anyone have a idea what is missing or if you have a extra spring or what i could use to fix this,,it has the factory t handle ,,you push a black button in to release it,,but the j hook looking part wont stay up,,i need this fixed as i am worried i will over sh*t into nutral or worse ,,reverse,,thanks

Over sh*t's are the worst. Especially if you eat Mexican food :shock: Pics would be helpful. GM used that same spring on other 80's vintage cars with a floor shift. IIRC, Grand Am's, Calais, Somerset Regals, etc all use the same spring.
