I just took the vinyl top off my cutlass to convert it to a hardtop and i have a few questions. how many of the rear window trim molding clips do i need? what are the exact places to put them in? (a picture showing the clips installed would be nice) how to install the clips? (can i use black silicone and just stick them in there)

Yes they should, just about every clip is available through the aftermarket.
And just a side note, make sure you get the mounts for the valance panel that but up to the glass, there are 3 and I'm not sure if you can use the ones from your original valance panel or if they even had them.
Also, and not to many people probably know this, the chrome around the vinyl top quarter windows can be removed and used on hard top quarter windows. Gently push out the mounts from the back and they should come out.
