Okay, I'm putting a new nose/front clip back onto my monte carlo ss, and since I have everything apart I wanted to go HID.

I have read the other threads to get an general idea on what I needed to get.

I bought (4) Projector Housings from ebay. (Placed two orders to get all four head lamps)

And I bought an HID kit

6000k
35watt
H4
Slim ballast

HID kit will be for the Low beams, and High Beams I plan to keep the H4 bulbs that came with the housing in there.

Now here is my problem, here are my plugs from the car to the head lamps

Top plug H4 Correct?, Bottom plug H7??

Here is one New replacement Head Lamp, H4

Here is one Original Head Lamp, H7?

All four Projector Head Light Housings from ebay have the H4 bulbs, so I cant use the H7 plug from the car. Is there some kinda H7 to H4 plug adapter or will I have to remove the H4 bulb out of the Head Light housing and put in a H7 bulb?

:wtf: Someone help me out here lol

that plug is going to get cut or you can use blade connectors in the exsiting harness. The HID kit will not have an H4 connector to it, the HID bulb will have connectors that will mate to the ballast. and you will splice the ballast into the pigtail pretty simple.

Okay, I was tripping out a little on that. I'm still waiting on the HID kit to come in. If I run into any more issues I'll have to report back into here.

you just bought replacement housings with a different plug. If your trying to do an HID conversion the housing will just have a hole for the HID bulb to go in

Thats just a head lamp that came with the left side lighting brakerts Etc..Had to buy a new one cause original got busted up pretty bad and it just came with that one.

I bought Four all new housings, they look like this.

My HID kit Finally came in today, I got to work in notching my head lamp baskets/mounts where the head lamps rest in cause they did not fit properly. I only did one side though. I'll work on the other side tomorrow.

Now the HID will be going in the lows- Outer lights

And for the Highs- Inner lights I'm not putting hid lights in at all. So I would be leaving the H4 bulb that came with the lamps inside there.

This is how I had it setup today

Right side- stock setuo, Left side HID setup

Can I even set it up this way??

I had both sides going but the HID bulbs were flickering, so I guess I should run a relay?

When I get relays how should I wire them to the cars battery? Every car I have ever owned had battery setup with top mounts like this.

But my battery in this car connects like this, how can I even use a ring or fork terminal connector to the battery like this?
