I'm fixing to do a complete front end rebuild and need much better springs than the OEM springs I currently have that are 30 years old lol. So I'm wondering is the F Body spring that has 707 lb/in. lower the front by 2 inches and if it is too stiff of a ride? Or is the S10 5660 easier to work with being that it has 639 lb/in.? All my info came from the following website:

first off, welcome. secondly i have no clue on your question. and third. How about some more info on how you got your seats in there

Thanks for the welcome nice to be on here. The question I was asking is in reference to how the front coil springs on g bodies, f body camaros, and S10 are interchangeable. I want to upgrade from the g body spring that handle only 348 lb./in. to a much stiffer spring from either a 3rd gen. camaro or S10. The numbers on the title are simply the moog part # for each type.
As far as the seats go, I removed the bench seat back when I gutted the whole inside for new carpet, etc. Being that I didnt have buckets, I used 1/4 inch steel bar and bent it to form a bracket the same height and length to match the factory bench brackets the car came with. The seats I got off ebay for 200 for the pair. Had the whole interior re-upolstered this christmas so it all matched and will have photos tomorrow when the suns up lol.

wow that cars AMAZING! more pic please! what motor are you running? I know someone with the username stoopud is running the s10 springs. I am planning on getting the eibach lowering springs. I havent heard much g-body review from them, but Ive heard allota good stuff about them on n-body malibus.

Hi, as was mentioned I run the S-10 springs, and I am completely satisfied with them. Stiffened the ride-up and keeps it drivable (not too harsh). I have never tried the 3rd Gen springs, but when I was researching I was told that they would be noticeably harsher than the s-10 set. Whether or not that is true, I cannot attest.

I would think it would come down to how much of a drop you want. With the s-10's and a small block you get .75"-1", with the Camaro's I think you get about 2". In Cleveland, I did not want to give-up that other inch (our roads are kinda bad).

Good luck. That is a very nice Malibu by the way.
