I've got my '80 caballero up in the air with the front end apart and it occurred to me that I do not know which way is up on the Moog 5660's I'm putting in.

I bought these springs many moons ago for a Cutlass project that was abandon. There is a white dot painted on one end and I want to say that is the bottom. The spring should stand level on the bottom right, not tilted over like the tower of Pisa.

Also. The stock springs came out with the end of the coil on the inside of the lower control arm toward the engine compartment. That is how I'm planning to put them back in. Any problem with that?

Thanks!

One end is flatter than the other end. The flat end goes to the top, into the frame.

The end of the bottom coil is supposed to index or end in between the 2 small holes in the pocket the coil sits in.

The level end goes up, against the frame. The "crooked" end goes into the lower a-arm, with the end of the coil between the two holes. Make sure the rubber insulator goes back in the top side.

Thanks!

I'm glad I asked, I would have put them in up-side-down.

Thanks Guys!
