I think I have found another great use for JB Weld! Drip rail caulk replacement. I stripped all of the seam sealer out of my drip rails, and decided that since the new sealer I did last time lasted only about a year, this time I would try something different. I mixed up about $15 worth of JB weld and filled them back in after removing all of the rust and stripping them down to bare metal. I also had some cracks in the filler from where I had welded in new metal last time, and I used JB Weld to bond the seams together there too. It will be sanded down tomorrow and covered in plain old Bondo, and no one will know! Next time I do any rust patching, I am going to go this route from the beginning to seal the seam and add more structural stability to the metal. It's hard to sand, but not much worse than All Metal.
