more rear end ?s

i found a 10 bolt 8.5 rear for 100 bucks.

the guy says it's 60" plate to plate. does that sound like the right rear?

also, is the 7.5" rear the same width?

The 8.5" rear will have a more round, 11" x 11"-ish cover, while the 7.5" is alittle more oval shaped, with about an 8.5" x 10.56"-ish cover.

i'm not talking about the cover. i can tell the difference between them by that.

there are no pics, though. all i ahve is that it's a ten bolt 8.5 that measures 60" from back plate to back plate

i think the g-body uses a 57 inch housing...jesse

All g-body rears either 7.5 or 8.5 are exactly 52.5" backing plate to backing plate
