I'm looking to put a LS style motor in the Camino and just wondering what mounts everyone is using that has done the swap.

I've only seen the BRP (which come as a kit with crossmember) and the TransDapt mounts(I called them and they said 4595 are the ones I need).

What other mounts are being used or are these the most common?

Theres a sticky in this section. Its called the LSX swap database.

Just a tip when doing a swap like this. It might cost a little more up front, but try your best to buy as many of your parts from the same manufacturer as they are made to work together. Mixing and matching parts will more than likely cause headaches down the road.

Their are a few variables... What LS motor you plan on using, a/c or no a/c, trans, exhaust? The oil pan is also a big issue :|

LQ9, no AC, 4l60e, exhaust I haven't figured out yet.

I know about the Sticky, it's not organized very well.

if I'm right the 4595 plates should work, I used them on my swap BUT the f body alt wouldn't clear my crossmember, i think if your using the LQ9 accessory drive the alt is up on top so it shouldn't be a problem.. I also had issues with the coil hitting my non a/c heater box which i had to get it notched.. I also had to modify the plates to make them sit right against the block... :| I would buy the cheaper ones instead of the TransDapt ones... I used the CTS-V oil pan in which was the only part that fit great! I also had to get my 2004r crossmember modified... I'm also using the stock f body exhaust manifolds and cats and my passenger side cat hits the floorboard... another thing to modify...

If you are not much into fabricating then you should really go with a matched set form one of the manufacturers that should include at least the headers and engine mounts. But if you r into making things fit then, you can use the transadapt mounts. Those r the ones I used. I used a truck oil pan which I cut down and rewelded. i had to rework my mac fbody mid length headers, and modify my trans crossmember. Also had to shorten my driveshaft.

i used the brp mounts and crossmember. they seemed to work good. i haven't got any clearence issues with the stock heater box. i used hedman's long tube headers and the holley oil pan. the holley pan is nice. it doesn't hang down bellow the cross member.
