i have to say i am NOT a republican or a democrat, I AM AN AMERICAN!!!
These people scare me

Michelle Obama And America

Michelle Obama, wife of Democrat frontrunner Barack Obama, shocked a lot
of people over the weekend when she said this: "For the first time in my
adult lifetime I am proud of my country." Wow! That takes my breath away.
Mrs. Obama is 44 years old, so for over roughly 24 years of "adulthood,"
taking her at her word, she has never been proud of our nation. Is there
a theme here? You may remember that last year Senator Obama said he
refused to wear a flag lapel pin because it represented a "substitute for
true patriotism." And what precisely is true patriotism? According to
Senator Barack Hussein Obama, it is opposing the war in Iraq.

Apparently nothing America did from 1982 to 2008 caused her heart to swell
with pride. Not our successful effort to defeat Soviet communism and
liberate millions of people in Eastern Europe? Not our relief efforts
around the world, through which we spent billions to help the downtrodden?
Not anything?

When she learned with all the rest of us how her fellow citizens on United
Flight 93 bravely fought back against jihadist hijackers and prevented
another disaster on September 11th, did she not fill up with pride? As
Americans of all races and classes rallied together in defense of our
nation in the aftermath of September 11th, did her spirit not jump with
love for her homeland? Apparently not.

The Obamas are living examples of the American Dream. Both Michelle Obama
and her husband have Ivy League degrees. They make a joint income of over
&nb sp;one million dollars a year. They live lives that most ordinary Americans
can only dream of. Yet, Mrs. Obama, who wants to be first lady, has been
unable to find the pride in America that millions of ordinary Americans
feel every day.

Sadly, her attitude is not rare among leftwing American elites. We are
"educating" millions of Americans to be globalists first and foremost, and
we are doing precious little about educating our children to be proud and
unashamed Americans.

The Obamas are flying high politically right now, but I don't believe many
Americans will want to cast their votes this November for a couple so out
of touch with traditional American values.

ironically this was sent to me by my mom the republican hater. but i had to post it. besides clinton is no better (if not worse, obama ia actually much more honest, clinton just says whatever will get her elected).

If Obama wins the primary, I just don't know if I could vote in this election with a clean conscience given a choice between Obama or McBush. I was taught to go with who I thought was the lesser of the evils, but damn, they both seem real scary and evil to me  Sorry to say it, but I think McCain is too old, and Obama too young.

At least with Hillary we would sort of know what to expect. I can easily put all the Monica sh*te aside when I think back to the previous Clinton administration, because I think our country did quite well during those eight years, and the world in general was at relative peace. Those were some good years I think back on as an American. I lived in NY from '86 to '07, and where we expected Hillary as a senator to be a puppet, she actually accomplished a lot and was a very hard worker.

I feel like voting for either Clinton or Obama is like a vote for Vladimir Lenin. I feel like voting for Mc Cain is like voting for Marxism lite. He's not really Republican enough for me. Yes, I support any war for the cause of oil until we can get an alternative, but I feel like McCain will not do anything to cut taxes and eliminate social benefits from the lazy poor. I would like to see a extra tax on union members as unions are unfair competition to non union labor and their advantage needs to be taken and the money given to those who do not join unions. I feel that a 15-20% tax on the gross income of union members would help to equalize their "windfall profits" from union membership and bring them in line with others of equal education. They should then get taxed on the money they have removed from them as part of their income tax to be sure we do not loose any revenue from them. These union fat cats need to pay their fair share and stop benefiting unfairly from collectivization.

We also need to eliminate 90% of all social spending and instead invest that money in our military. Sorry, but I take care of my sh*t myself and feel that everyone else can too. Unless you are physically or mentally disabled, get a job and pay your own damn way! Stop stealing from me or "The Rich" and making excuses for why you are unwilling to do what it takes. The poor are only poor because they choose to be and make constant bad decisions. I work amongst them and see it every day. ( I make under $25k a year, so I am not rich! Yet I manage to own a house with a in ground pool, 2 cars and a truck.)

I too am an American first an everything else second. Find me a better party that has a chance and I will jump the Republican ship. I am loyal to the principles of minimalist government and low taxes, not freebies and such.
