just a quick question.why does the 6a box have a direct power from the battey and a 12 volt switch power.why does the box need power all the time?
 
Its constantly powered, but not the way you are thinking. The coil side of the msd box uses this thru an internal switch to trigger the ignition box when starting and then whilst running. Kind of like how the starter on your car is wired up, it has the constant power from the battery but is only triggered via the key switch turning. Same concept.
