Its now two weeks with the '14 Silverado & I'm stumping myself on the mud flaps. I've been looking at my options for most of the week. I really like the OE molded type but don't really want to drill holes in the fenders & bed side, fight with the seam sealer on the front. They have a flat set with the same drill issue. Other choice is a set of Weathertechs but they look like they somewhat smaller/not as high up the wheel opening. I know I'll be spending more that I care to but as the saying goes "good is not cheap, cheap is not good." After this I'll be looking into stainless step tubes, Weathertech floor mats front & rear, & a good spray in bed liner. I atleast got the K&N filter (like hours after buying it) in, put in a set of Phillips LED back up bulbs.

i bought a set of weathertech's no drill flaps for my brothers 08 silverado and they're a true no drill set up.they utilize the included and existing oe hardware to install.i'm not sure the look you're going for but they're a nice design for sure.take a look.

Go Husky floor mats. In fact I may be able to hook you up.

Husky floor mats and a under rear seat storage compartment. These fit my 2014 and 2016 Chevrolet full size Silverado with an extended cab. Not crew cab. Message me if interested

I'd go factory for the mudflaps. Just put a ball of strip caulk on the tip of the screws when you install them to prevent rust.

I have weather techs in two of my cars and I love them. I'm told Huskys are just as good. For spray in bed liner, go with Line-X if you can afford it, or otherwise I'd go with Raptor Liner.

I wish one of the 2 previous owners would of put them on but that takes the fun out of it. I did check in with the dealers body shop that did the old trucks bed & quoted my at $550 using Scorpion. I liked how it handeled everything I loaded on it & it stayed black. I like Raptor, used to sell it (very fond of all of U-Pol products.)

I was checking out the "chip guards" where the flap will mount. It looks like those are where the underside/rear screws tap into. So that would leave the wheel lip being the only metal to drill. Does anyone pictures of a '14 & new truck using the OE flaps?

I did get to see a '17 up close with OE flaps on it today (the babysitters' husband pick up it up as a left over a few weeks back.) There was only 2 holes per flap drilled into the wheel lips, the bottom rear holes are in the plastic "chip guards". The dealer did it with out using the rear U nuts or riv-nuts, but the front screws are already rusting (not the included hardware.) Now I'll have to do a little more looking into the Weathertech no drills to do more of a better comparison of both.
