Found this brand new Mustang spoiler for sale cheap....what do you think it would look like on my Cutty? I'd have drill some access holes on the backside of the trunk lid but the dimensions and width are about right? Honest opinions please...

The curvature of the center (where it humps up) may look alittle funny with the flatness of the trunklid. Tips may hit the quarter panels, too.

Next summer I plan on trying to make rear spoilers. I haven't found one that I like yet, so i'll make my own 8)

Yeah, I know most of the Mustang guys don't like their spoilers either and take them off. My brother is one of them.

Personally I don't think it would look right on the boxiness of a G-body. It'll just look like you took a spoiler from a Mustang and slapped it on.

That was my concern, that curve may be an issue...i want it to look at least a little like it might from factory. Anyone ever adapt a similar spoiler to their Cutty that looks good? Nowadays, auto wreckers are full of cars with spoilers to choose from and would like to know what looks right and start hunting.

X2 lol, im not gonna pul the whole putting a ford body part on a Gm but i think it will look weird if you put that wing on a cutty.

As mentioned, the spoiler from an '80's model firebird is almost identical to the H/O style spoiler. It just needs a bit of modification to fit properly (spacers for the pedastals or grinding down the wing tips).

Your other option is a spoiler off a G-body Monte Carlo SS. Again it will take a bit of work to make it look right.

The last option would be the spoiler off a Fiero. However I think this one is kind of pushing the "stock" look. It fits the width of a Cutlass pretty decent but is pretty large.

Here's a picture of the later model Monte SS lay down style spoiler on my '87:

And one of the fiero style spoiler:
