I thought I would make a thread for my 84' Camino. So here goes.

I picked up the car a few years ago from a relative that had become ill and eventually passed away. He was elderly and also the original owner of the car. I'd have to check, but I believe the car had under 25,000 original miles on the odometer. I'm currently in the process of doing the chassis and body worl. I have the body off of the chassis right now and I'm trying to complete the chassis work before next spring. The motor and transmission are ready to go. The motor is a pretty stout 350ci motor built by the late great John Gunn. This was actually one of the last engines he did before passing earlier this past summer. It's a 10.0:1 pump gas motor. John assured me that it should turn out atleast 450hp. John had built a ton of these motors for customers, friends, and himself. Years of experience with these mmotors allowed John to put together a solid package that was both reliable and powerful. Well, now for some pictures.....

This is what it looked like when I first brought it home:

This was a few months later. I drove the car for a while with the V6 in it. That did'nt last very long.

These are a set of Caddy DTS seats. I bought them new for this project. They were just set in the car to snap a picture.

Super Clean...keep up the good work..love the motor!! Im in the process of building a engine and dont know what the hell om doing, but worth the try...

Thanks, fellas! I replaced the factory 10 bolt with a Monte Carlo 10 bolt for now. I may go 12 bolt down the road. As far as the transmission goes I have a 200R-4 that was built for my machinist's Regal but was never used.
I was going to try to do a GN clone but I'd rather stay clear of all the electronics. I also have a 1,000whp 1G Eagle Talon AWD drag car. So this build is nice because I'm getting back to my roots and taking a break from all the electronics which I really can't stand working with. Besides, the car is going to be a gift to my God son when he graduates high school. He's 12 right now so I have some time to finish it,but I'd like to have a little fun with it myself.
