Okay, Ive been on the forum for a while, and have had my el camino as well for about 6 years. It was my first car and has pretty much been my project ever since. I figure now would be a great time to do a build thread since I now have it completely apart and am refinishing everything.
To start off, the car previously had a good amount of work done. It has a 6.0 iron block ls engine and 4l80e trans. It has some suspension work and has been lowered. I have a HUGE bundle of parts I have been piling up to put onto the car and it is ever growing.
Though the car is expected to be back together by the beginning of June, for the Carlisle GM nationals, I will still have some extra things to do afterwards.

So far, I have the body separated from the frame, the body has very minimal rust and I am replacing some panels even though they have some slight rust holes. I already have a new door skin on the passenger side, all lower quarter patches are being replaced and also the driver door is getting a lower patch. The car will be getting full suspension work, Ive got tubular front control arms, QA1 coilovers all around, rear trailing arms to come, boxing frame and strengthening, interior is being freshened up, and also it will be getting some engine work as well as braking and rims and tires later.
I will be finishing up the body work which I have a few months into so far with getting it razor straight. The car will be going black cherry pearl, which is a Cadillac color and close to the original color. Frame will be blasted, or cleaned up and custom painted as well.

I will try to update as much as possible, I do take multiple pictures after I have done work so it should be too hard

Awesome. Nicely done. Doing it the right way, all the way down to the frame. How does the frame look, need any work at all? Nows the time (obviously) while the body panels are off.

I actually am very luck to have almost no rust on the car for the are. The frame is perfect, and only has two body mount holes that are worn out. I just want to give the car the full treatment since it is my baby.

I will post some up close pictures when I get some free time from work

Will be doing some updates soon. It's a little hard since I work on cars for a living and the hours are terrible, but I've got Thursday, Saturday an Sunday off so there will be a lot of pictures to come, as well as ALOT of parts on the way.

Some quick updates from what I did today

Will try to get some more later
