Here's my project, its an '86 Cutlass Supreme with a 383 stroker and a 700R4 trans. Hopefully I will have it done for spring. Winter's not very nice on cars up in Winnipeg.

what the heck is a "coustic" ? sounds cheap to me? off brand or something?

^^what he said

all that extra room on that sub box in the trunk could have used another sub... I would've put the amp in the middle and a sub on each side....just me though.

+1. Nice car, Wish my Regal was in that good of condition. Keep us updated on what you do to it.

What stall speed are you running for the torque converter? I'm doing the same set up with a 383 and 700r4, would like to know how it hooks up with the stall you are running, whenever you get it on the street.

Did you get a little larger alternator & match the cranking amps of a new battery with the alternator? That would help ease the burden of your sub and amp if you haven't already.

Did you your trunk? its clean especially how you covered the spare wheel well. Nice!

Thanks for the compliments!

The car used to be just a daily driver with a stock 305sbc, so I originally built the box to hold two 10"s, magnets out, plus the amp. Now I've gotten into drag racing with another car that a friend and I built, (just a weekend thing) so I decided to go that way with the Cutty too. The stereo was way too heavy (the rear actually sat lower than the front with my Eibachs). I hated that. So, I did some redesigning and now it's one sub and it can be easily removed before I go to the track. The alt is stock output, I've had no problems with it so far.

Coustic is a cheap brand! But, they pound pretty good and have gone through a couple -35c winters without cracking! Check out coustic.com

I covered the spare tire opening so I can mount the nitrous bottle there. I cut a 3/4" piece of OSB to size, fabbed brackets and it'll definitely hold the weight of the tank.

I bought the transmission used and it came with a 3000 stall, so that's still in it. I will see how that does when I get it on the street. I will let you know.
