Hello...I am new to this G body community. Here is a pic of my 87 Cutlass 4dr..I just had it painted(redid the original color). Its my daily driver..and I have owned it for 12 years. It just passed the ridgid california smog test, and always has!. With almost 220,000 miles on the Olds 307 V8, the engine has never been apart..and same with the 2004r. I would say thats a solid well built car. Everything works, including the a/c.

Welcome. Clean car. Yea the 307 & 200-4r were very reliable when used just for commuting. Neither will hold up to much abuse though unless modified. Says alot about the way you have maintained it as well. Timeing chain & oil pump and that 307 will probably last a long time. I knew a taxi driver who had 400,000 on one. With the 200-4R if its not already too burnt / dirty and or slipping and you have not already done it do a pan drop & filter change. You can do a flush first but its probably not that beneficial if you are doing the pan drop. Also sometimes when you do a flush if the trans is already very worn it gets too slippery and begins to slip or has a hard time going into gear at first.
