been fighting with trying to bleed the brake system for a few nights now and have had no luck getting any better pedal. well i guess i finally figured out the problem when fluid started flowing out from the back of the master cylinder where it meets the booster. ****ing master cylinder!

I think the fuel pump is shot too if i cant get it started on the first attempt it will just crank but if i pour a little gas in the carb it will start and run until i shut it off.

That same exact thing happened to me when I was bleeding brakes. There must be something about that seal that doesnt like bleeding brakes.

About your fuel issue, I dont think it is your fuel pump. If it was bad the car would not run at all. Sounds like it is time for a carb rebuild.

well that isnt better than a fuel pump, thanks dan 😢

Sorry. 😢 A carb rebuild kit is only like 20 bucks if you want to try to rebuild it yourself. Just make sure you get a good manual on rebuilding that carb, and it isnt to hard. Also, I have one more question, do you have a mechanical or electric fuel pump?

I think you should just screw that motor and swap in a small block. lol but thats just me. lol

the factory mechanical on the 3.8L
I dont think i have the patience for the rebuild myself, not sure.

The rebuild is not that bad IF you know what you are doing. There are a few tricky things about the E2SE ( I think that's it's name) carb, like setting up the TPS sensor and MC solenoid that can mess you up. A local carb shop would probably do it for $100-150 if you do not wish to tackle it yourself. I have a carb guy I have used for years who knew how to set them up back when I ran the electronic version.

I rebuilt my Dualjet, Computer Controlled and it really wasn't hard to do the basic stuff. It runs fine, though I'm not sure how to adjust the mixture control and I'm not getting the gas mileage I should be (only getting 18MPG) but it runs and hasn't fouled the plugs.
