So someone put in a 350? If it runs good and you don't have any issues I would probably leave it for now and concentrate on getting the body done, performance parts can add up fast and the need for power can be very addictive and expensive (ask me how I know)

lol i hear yea on that, its shocking how pricy things get. the motor has longtubes and a edlbrock proformer intake on it and isd like to get the right cam along with some good heads but valvetrian geometry is a little tricky lol but i would love to remove the vinyl top and paint it black like the Grand National

I'm 18 now, I've had my Cutlass since 14. My parents and uncle got me off to a decent start. I've had to deal with a motor and trans rebuild since then, all with my own money. My tip is to prioritize. Just figure out what you can afford, and what you really should do first. And you can always do little things here and there. It's a lot of fun and you will definetly learn the value of money building a hot rod. Most importantly have fun with it!!!

sounds good, my boss is rebuilding my trans for me and gonna teach me alittle about rebulding them along the way but afer that i might try to rebuild the top end along with the right cam
