I went to my local 1/8th mile track on Sunday. My car was untested and I passed my tech inspection. So I entered into the race and I placed 2nd in the Street Eliminator class. I lost to a 79 elco but I managed to beat a 78 Cutlass on the first round. I will be going back in 2 weeks in hopes to make it to the Pro Street class. I was running consistent 8.80's with a .550 light. I need to break out of the 8's in order to reach my goal. I will be experimenting with different squirters and jets. I think im running lean on my launch but my top end never nosed over so I won't mess with my secondaries.

A wideband would take a lot of guess work out of it for you.

A wideband O2 sensor with a digital gauge. That way you can see where your Air/Fuel's are at, and at what RPM. They even make some that will record with an RPM feed too. I tuned my car with one from Innovate Motorsports. I didn't even have to weld a permenant O2 bung in. Just made sure it was up the exhuast and secured.

Single best tool I own. It is completely self-contained, fully digital, and comes with basic datalogging software. I am going to buy a second one in the near future... it is also very user friendly.

You will want a laptop/netbook to programme it for anything other than straight gas.

+ whatever # for a wideband

I didnt see the slip. Check the plus. See whats up with it.
