it is a 1983, has a 355 with a very lumpycam, 750 duel line holly, rpm intake, 125 shot,882 heads supercomp headers, 10bolt with 373 and posi. love the car, very fun to drive, has stock suspension with airshocks in the back so she rides like a boat on the waves.
I havent been on here ina while due to finnishing the car up, here is some more recent pics . now i caint wait for xmas time so i can get started on repainting her.btw she is driven to school daily
A 383 with AFR heads NOW were talkin! The paint and car look good. At least not in dire need of a paint job. Have you had her to the track yet? Does she just have a 7.5 rear? A 750 Holley double pumper 373s lumpy cam whatever the hell that is and a 3 speed daily driver bet you are glad gas prices have come down. Hahaha Gotta love it. BTW Morris Raceing, you should at least be able to tell us duration at 50 and lift assuming its a flat tappet. Otherwise you don't sound like Morris raceing but rather a college freshman who is learning.
well im still in highschool.I am not good enough to tell the duration just by listening or by visual aspects, that come's with time and being able to hear the differnt cam selections in engines. We ran dirt cars for allmost all of my life and being morris is my last name morrisracing was just a name. before i purchased the car i watched it go 12.80's on the bottle. yes the rear is a 7.5, that will be getting ditched soon for a 12 bolt or 9 in wichever i am able to purchase for a resanable price. in the pictures the black paint looks decent but in pearson it looks like it was sprayed dry and with a very small pattern. but no matter what i still love the car, fun as hell to drive. gas is not that bad aslong as i keep my foot out of the pedel, but thats the problem most i the time i cant.
how old are you morris? thats a badass car for a highschooler! There are no hot rodders at my high school. not even any ricers, no one cares about cars...except me and a few buddies. i love dirt track racing, my grandpa has owned a few dirt cars. where are you from btw?
:edit: shoulda thought to look it up first, lol ur 18 and from kentucky. where at in kentucky? you even been to WV for dirt track races? my grandpa always talks about this place in WV that is the greatest dirt track in america.
yep im 18, i have owned a paxton sn93 blown 6 speed 96 camaro, a 94 cobra with a p600b blower 5 speed, a 427 smallblock mustang , plus plenty of others, still miss my elcamino my 94 cobra but this has been byfar my favorite car, easy to work on and tune.I am from harrodsburg ky , about 30 mins from the closest major city. I have never been to wv to race, we ran local track's each weekend for points. mostly 2 door impala's with smallblock's with 4speeds , stock frame rails with bolt on suspension and stock rear housing to the manufacture.
