Howdy folks.
I'm from northwest GA. Few miles south of Chattanooga tn.
I bought my 85 caballero little over a year ago. It has been a hellva nightmare. I wasn't planning on a full power train replace/restore so quickly. But lucky for me my wife is very understanding.
Th350 complete rebuild. Some beefing up.
Tired old 350(around 100psi per cylinder) leaking from half a dozen places.
Built a 383stroker, nothing crazy, to drop in.

You're in great hands here with so many members who have gone down that road before. Don't fret too much. One thing at a time as you can do it. If you don't already have them, get the original GM shop and parts manuals.

Welcome from Texas. I've been working on cars over 60 years and I'm still learning and glad I can still work on them.
I just changed the gas tank on my wagon by myself.
I got some tips from this site that helped a lot.

One Gbody is good but a pair is better. There is plenty of help, advise and parts to be had here. We would all like to see some pictures and hear about your plans for your El Camino's. The 383 is a great engine.
