I picked this up today. it's an 81 with a 1970 350 and a factory 4 speed transmission. no rust and just a few minor dings. need to locate a fan shroud and a radiator hold down plate first. next will be to adjust the shifter mechanism so that it goes into the right gears all the time instead of just when it feels like it. i tried gettin the guy down to 1800.00 but when he told me he was going thru Chemo due to cancer i wernt ahead and just gave him the 2 grand he was asking.

Car looks great bro nice score for sure. 2000 was a good price for a car that old with no rust. Look into getting a shroud out of a Monte it cutlass I believe they interchange.

Contact docrocket1967 he's buying a 1986 el Camino for a parts car. Maybe he could help you out with that shroud.

picked up a shroud and radiator hold down plate from an 86 V8 cutlass as well as the factory clutch fan and core support cross braces for $70, went to install them on the car and found that the radiator was an incorrect narrower version and wouldnt work with the shroud, also it was missing the rubber insulators, back to the cutlass and grabbed the brass/copper 3 row HD radiator and top and bottom insulators for an additional $50

total invested so far.
