Long story short, got this crossmember and a rear sway bar off craigslist for $15. The guy said he had it in his '87 SS but had to cut his frame to use this since it's for a TH-350 (which makes sense with the '83 up 200-4R frame provision. He claimed he ordered it from a magazine some years ago.

My question is.....does anyone know who used to make these? The thing I find odd is the bolt holes on the vertical edge of the frame mount, instead of on the horizontal edge like most crossmembers. Either way, for $15 I at least got a usable rear sway bar.

Kinda what I was thinking too. But like I said....for 15 bucks it's not a loss. As soon as I get my car to the house I'll take a better look at what I'm working with. Otherwise I'll just order the one Jegs sells.
