Sorry about the random topic but I suck when it comes to finding things online. I basically needing some sites or places that i can get information in a 1952 Nash. I am looking for some measurements, pictures, specs, anything i can get. I have a really big project in my brain that I want to lay down on paper and see how much work it's going to be. Any help would be great. Thanks guys

Which model of Nash is it? Ambassador? It's an odd choice of vehicle with the covered front and rear wheel wells. Try "Bathtub Nash" as a search term, as that is a popular slang term for these cars. A bit of history: Nash was merged with Hudson in 1955 by George Romney in order to form the American Motors Corporation, and both brands were phased out by 1960. The Rambler name was the new brand for AMC cars, and this continued until around 1967 with the Javelin and AMX being branded as AMC's, not Ramblers. The Rambler name was phased out all together in 1970.

yes the ambassador model. Sorry i did not specify that. yeah i love that covered front and rear wheels wells.

The smaller Rambler line also used the covered wheel wells until it was first discontinued around 1954 or 55. It was later brought back in the late 50's, but without the covered wheel wells. I am a bit of an AMC geek, but I am sorry my knowledge is far from encyclopedic on the models produced before the 1966 introduction of the "new" V8.

Maybe this will help, I want to use the Model basically this exact car for my "project". Hopefully that helps

I can't criticize. I want some pretty odd stuff myself, much of which originated in the former Soviet block. All I can say is do lots and lots of Google time. Look for clubs, forums, etc. Look at Hemmings, Cars and Parts, Kanter's, Steele Rubber products, etc. for parts and possible data. It will be difficult to find parts for it, but not impossible. Nothing is impossible with enough money.

Try this link: http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/AmericanMotors/Nash1946-1959.html

As for me, I will keep fantasizing about the day that I can finally get the car of my nightmares: a Trabant P601 S from the former East Germany.

BTW, what do you have in mind? The covered front arches tend to be a real limiting factor in wheel and tire selection. By far my favorite 50's Nash that I have seen was a old hot rod with a Chevy 283 in it that had cut and flared wheel arches for normal tires. It was in a junkyard and had obviously sat for 20-30 years outside because it was badly deteriorated, but I couldn't help but admire the coolness of the work involved for that unknown rodder. The car was a Metropolitan, and I thought it was much better than any stock Met could hope to be.

I want to take one of these Nash's and turn it into a drag car. Big tires out back, i dunno alot of ideas floating in my head. I basically want a track car because i do not want to tear up my malibu to make one. Also i want something a little different. or a lot different. ha so yeah a lot of ideas in my head. I want to draw it out, i just need to get homework done first this week before i can slack off and do that.

I would like to keep the dash somewhat original and same with the front seats. but then put in a cage to be legal to run into the 9's. Full tub in the rear to fit the big tires. Lots of ideas and it would take a lot of time and money. Sounds like fun to me
