Big Tube BBC headers
I have a set of 2-1/4 x 2-3/8 stepped headers with HTP extreme coating. These fit a high port head like the 572/720 Chevy race engine. Jere Stahl worked with me and did a great job. I found there are no others available. Custom headers can be made like these. Expect big bucks cost.
The following factors are critical to be able to install any big tube headers in a G Body.
Raised port height on the exhaust,
rigid engine mounts needed,
short hi capacity oil filter or remote filter,
angle of drive shaft/engine,
oil pan used,
steering shaft interference,
small spark plugs and special socket,
small starter,
and the ears on the trans.
