I like my 1988 cutlass supreme 307olds but its not passing etests because the heads are leaking throught the valve guide. I would like to fix it and add more punch. But i have been researching about the 1975 Laguna S-3's and i really like them, would it be cheaper to go with restoring the cutlass or by a running 1975 laguna S-3?

Easier and cheaper to fix the olds if you are able to do the work. If you have to hire it out may get spendy but probably still cheaper. Thanks to all the hype from Car Craft magazine it seems to me everyone with an S-3 laguna thinks they are as vauable as a first generation Camaro now. There's a straight Laguna non-S-3 (no wedge nose) on craigslist now in Mnpls. for like $1500 or $1800 and it appears to be a very rusted out POS.

I love the S-3's, but good luck even finding one is decent shape that hasn't been somewhat restored.

These cars were laughed at and junked left and right.

You could get a decent one for 2000, now all of a sudden there selling for big $$$$$$$$

Stick with your Cutlass, I think in the long run you will be happier with it.
