i'm looking to beef up my rear end, were could i find a (7.5 or 8.5) 10 bolt that would hold up to a 350 horsepower 350 rocket or for that matter any 12 bolt that will fit a g body?I know that theres crate rear ends but there ford 9" but i would rather a gm rear.

imo.. ford 9" just because it so easy to change the gears out. in just 35 min u can change 3rd members out to do weekend runs at the track if you wanted ,and they can hold lots of power to , they come with gm bolt patten too.

ive had many g bodies 78-79-81 malibu 85-86 culas and an 82 regal most of them were street strip cars and ive always used 12 bolts from a 68-72 chevelle and they will fit right in place.they are also 3 in.wider total which makes it easier to put a bigger tire on the rear

thanks,i'll be on the lookout for one of those chevelle diffs,i want to run stock tires so i'll just shorten the whole axle then!

well you know i will go to the strip once in awhile other then that i'm just worried if that engine will kill the stock 7.5,and on the street i will be pounding down the throttle a lot,and doing some burnouts, will it be good?lol

Street or strip?

For a 350 hp motor on the street, you'll be just fine with a 7.5"...

I would think that doing burnouts it's very hard on the rear end. It's tough on the rear end when you do a dead hook (drag racing)
