alright i got my intake on car b on and everythings basically set. one quick desperate question, where is the best place to hook up an electric choke positive. i was thinkin coil wire but holley says no go on that one. its on a cutlass so if anyones got any ideas please help, thanks

They don't want you to use that one because if your choke grounds out, your car dies!

You just need a wire that comes on when you turn the key on. Look at your fuse block. There should be an accessory or ACC terminal that you can just plug into. Check and make sure that the battery power goes on and off with the key because there is sometimes a terminal near it for straight battery power all the time.

this may sound really stupid but the electrical system has always been my weak point, how do i wire it to the fuse block. even better question, is this possible with little to no light, cause im in the process of getting this car running cause i already had one day of down time

What happened to your original choke coil wire? It would seem the obvious choice...

this car is a basket case i am working to fix, and i need to drive it everyday. there is no factory choke wire that i am aware of, it was a v6 car, the dude i bought it from put a 283 in it, butchered everything, then i got it, the 283 was spent i put a 305 in it and who knows where any thing went before i got it. the only wires in the engine bay are battery cables, starter wires, alternator wire, and the wires for the coil. i deleted my heat cause it didnt work and the box had a gaping hole, so no power source there. if there was a factory choke wire i wouldnt be posting this cause thated be kinda stupid. last carb that was on there was edelbrock spread bore i borowed from a friend, had an electric choke, but i kept it open so it wouldnt close at all. before that it had a manual choke edelbrock, and now its got a 600cfm holley electric choke.

For a quick hook up find a spot in the fuse panel that has power when the key is on and no power when the key is off. Just like the other guy said. Get a piece of wire and wrap it around one of the blades on that fuse that went into that particular spot. Insert the fuse with the bare wire wrapped around it then run it to your choke wiring. Thats a quick way to hook up a positive wire. Easy enough. Goodluck.

thanks man, i know it was a kida stupid question, and i feel real stupid after hearing the answer haha, cause thats just to simple.
