Hey guys im having some problems with shifter cables first cable i damaged when i did a motor swap so i replaced with a b&m shifter .... today that cable snapped on me as i was putting the car in drive now i put the original shifter back in with a new cable from advance auto and this cable failed due to the protection sleeve sliding apart i took it back n the sales rep asked if i need the 27.25" cable or 31" cable since the 27.25" failed i ordered the 31" the trans is a 200r4. Can someone explain the different in cables and which one i should get?

are you using a 4speed shifter or a 3 speed? do you have the correct brackets on the trans for the 4speed cable? all of this will make a big difference on cable function.

heres a good thread on the subject....viewtopic.php?f=10&t=32270&hilit=+trans+cable
