I just rebuilt a carborated vortec chevy 350 roller motor with a 510 lift cam. I was wanted to know what I should put the ignition timing at? I Hurd 8 degrees from one guy. 0 from another. It is at 11 right now with 51 total. I feel that is to much. Appreciate opinions, thanks in advance.

Initial timing should be between 10-12. Set that and read where your distributor stops adding timing is it really 51 deg?? if so your distributor could be in there wrong
