My money would be spent on the Dart Heads, hands down...I have a set of Dart pro-1 Platinum aluminum heads and they are great and flow nicely🙂

your question would be best answered with your plans for the car as well as the rest of your drivetrain/motor specs

9.7:1 comp,.510/.520 lift, 230/236 duration, hydaulic roller setup, stock bore & stroke, flat-top pistons w/ 4-valve reliefs
700r-4 trans, 8.5: 10-bolt posi w/ 3.73:1 ratio

Let me know if you need any more info.
The heads are very similar. My 1st choice was the brodix. It seems like they are unavailable will next month or so. I do like dart brand, but have not heard much about these new SHP (special high performance) heads...I'm afraid they are cheap. Also I originally wanted to have the .575 max lift springs, darts have .620 max lift...it seemed like overkill for a .510/.520 lift cam. Only thing I might do is go with 1.52:1 ratio rockers instead of 1.5:1

Check and see if competition products still has the Platinum Iron Eagle series of dart heads. They are the same as Pro 1's but made of iron. They flow the same. You can get a set of 200cc runners like I have for about 950. If you have to have aluminum then I would say don't even mess around with anything other than AFR. In my opinion they are the forerunner for aluminum heads. The IK180's are a good head though.

Here are some flow numbers for them. Remember the peak flow is only good if your cam is gonna be at that lift. Which yours would probably work just fine.

Give chad speier a call and he will give you some great information on heads based on what you want without trying to sell you anything.

Those are the heads of his i started with and had him do a little more to them as well as port my intake.

this is my thread on his site and you can see my heads he did

they are up there with the AFR's which are a high dollar head.

now are you looking to go up in compression or stay the same. with an aluminum head i would bump it up or you might as well stay with the iron as they would generally make more power because the aluminum heads need to be hotter to make the power. but you can generally run more compression on lower octane fuel because of this.

both the heads you listed are good heads.

my only reasoning against the iron killers is the fact they dont have ports in the water jackets for a temp sender which i like on a street car. if i were you i would stick with a 190cc to 195cc runner for the torque. sure larger runners breathe more but only at higher rpms which is useless on the street. you really need to decide what you want to do with the car and go from there.

i know it seems like im pushing the profilers but one thing i like about it is the 195cc head im using is the same core they use for there 240cc air wolfs. so if you decide you want to build a wicked 406 or other small block one day send them back to chad and he can port them out larger because they have a ton of meat. i know i havent helped much but i hope to have given you a little info lol. Id give you more info on how my heads perform but i have yet to run her lol

Well I definitely plan on it being a street car/cruiser with the occasional track runs. I will be running a/c. I wanted to go with aluminum so I could bump the compression up and still run pump gas with no problems. I talked to all the companies...Comp, Brodix, etc...they all told me for the build I want they would recommend 180cc intake runner, the way they said it was that it would be a waste to go any higher in the intake runner size because the motor would be spending more time filling it up?

I really would like to stick with a 64cc aluminum head with between 175-185cc intake runner, 2.02/1.6

What's your budget? One thing about chad is he will setup the heads specifically for your cam which is nice

little to none lol. 12-432-8 is cam

Well the more you can save if you can wait is money well spent honestly. There a couple nice sets of heads for sale over @ malibus racing for a good price. Trick flow twisted wedges are nice a pair for sale over there for like 600 and a set of darts cheap too

Your budget is the deciding factor
