wanna lower my 86 monte ss at least 2in all around and ideas on springs or thoughts?

I bought Eibach springs from Summit, then did tall lower BJs up front. The top of the tires are even with the wheel opening. It's close to two inches drop total. You'll have to change out the upper contol arms though.

What are these tall ball joints i keep hearing about? That helps drop the car, and why did you have to change the upper control arms to drop it to that? Thankz

The tall lowers not only lower the car, but they help eliminate bump steer. If you look at your steering linkage from the front, you'll notice that the outer tie rods droop to the knuckle. When the wheel travels up (hit a bump) this droop will cause the tire to toe out (bump steer). The reason the upper control arms need replaced is because the suspension is engineered to travel only so far. When you increase the distance between the UBJ and LBJ, the UBJ will bind at the top of it's travel. Aftermarket UCAs will fix this as it will allow the UBJ to articulate without binding.

For a 2" drop, I recommend Belltech 2" drop spindles for the front and 2" drop Original Parts Group rear springs. I also like Belltech Street Performance shocks.
