Hi my name is Phil and I have a problem I need Pulley & Brackets for Serp. set up for A 83 Cutlass With a 455 in it. I want to set it up with just the Alt. & Water Pump And Power Steering for right now and when i get all kinks out put a vintage system in later. I talked to March and Vintage with no luck, March wants me to buy a system with all componets alt-water pump etc but i have alt water pump and power steering already,Vintage does not have a full set for olds, So what I am asking does anybody have any IDEAS??????????

Use stock stuff from a 307. A/c brackets will need modified, but other stuff should work. You would also need part of a power steering bracket from a later 455. It would be the one that the alt also bolts to. You can use all the same pulleys from the 307.

He's looking for a serpentine setup, which I believe the 4.3 diesel V6 was the only Olds engine to have such a feature.
Parts are hard to find since they were only built for a few years...
Personally, I think serpentine setups are overrated and not worth the cost or trouble.

If going with a traditional v-belt setup, 307 brackets will work on a 455 with some modification, but the pulleys will not due to the thinner harmonic balancer on the 307.

307 Power Steering Pump bracket will work just fine on a 455, you just need to put 1.2" worth of washers or use a spare spacer from the PS bracket to the block where the bracket bolts to the alternator bracket.
