need seat info

My 81 malibu has a bench front seat. I want to change them to buckets. Can someone with factory buckets tell me how wide the seat part is. Atleast that way I have an idea of what I am looking for

For cutlass/ early chevy seats, the seat cushion is 22 1/2" at the widest spot on the bottom, and 21 1/2" at the base of the top section.

Most GM bucket seats will bolt to G body seat floor brackets. You can also use four (two sets)bench seat floor brackets.
