I plan on re doing my interior in my '79 LeMans over the winter from stock light blue to a stock darker blue (I'm not sure whether I'm talking about dark or medium blue, that's the problem). I've been looking through a bunch of topics in this section regarding dying/painting interior panels and seen some excellent work, my only problem is that I want to make sure all my panels match. So far I've been able to purchase a dash from an '85 GP, door armrests from a mid '80's Cutlass, and visors from a mid '80's Regal, all are the same blue. I need to paint/dye the rest of my panels with SEM products and I plan on buying new carpet, headliner, package tray. My issue is, I've seen both dark and medium blue listed in the various parts sites I've looked on for those parts and I'm not sure what I have already. I'm also not sure what color SEM I should use to match the rest. I know the easy answer for the SEM would be to paint it all, but the stuff I bought really doesn't need it, I will if I have to though. The bigger question is what should I be buying for carpet, headliner, and package tray? Any help would be appreciated, I figured someone on here must know whether dark or medium blue would be correct.

I think that's "dark" blue, but to be sure you should bring one of the parts to your local Auto Paint supply place.
They can look up the color codes and then mix/tint the SEM to the exact shade you need.
I have had this done for several cars over the years and it has been a perfect match every time.
They can also put the paint into spray cans if you don't have a spray gun/compressor.

I had noi idea you could get the SEM tinted, that's good to know. I was planning on using spray bombs to do it. Thanks.
Have youdyed your interior parts yet? I missed your earlier posts. I used SEM shadow blue #15043 for my dash and a couple other interior parts and still have a bit left. The color match was as close to perfect as I can imagine. PM you your adress and I will send you a painted sample to compare with your parts.
