i got a seat trim that the chrome was pealing off and figured i would try this. i got a sheet of brushed aluminum vinyl.i like the look was a pain but got it. let me know what you think.

I don't know if the photos show how good it really looks. Exactly what is the material that you used? How did you apply it? Where did you get the material? Its given me an idea for something that I have here.

well the pics i took arent a close up.but they turned out pretty good.its 3m product. it is a self adhesive vinyl. you have to make sure your part is clean and grease free. then just put it over the part your installing it on. you use a hair dryer to help stretch it for curved parts,and if you have any air bubbles the hair dryer will remove them. this is where i got it from

So I then say this would be a great product to use if I was redoing my center console. I have glued it all together and put duct tape on the inside to keep it in place but it's old, brittle and people keep pushing off it to get in and out of the car so it's only gonna get worse.

You guys are so hooking me up with so many ideas and work arounds!! :lol:
