need some one to pass my car with smog

hi every one, i need some one to pass my smog im in LA guys help please

few years ago i was young and didnt know any better sense the lady at the DMV told me you can do to your car any thing you want as long as you have your registration paid.... so i went on the journey of making my dream car

registered in CA
white 79 monte carlo V6
painted it black, i put in a 305 V8 and switched also every thing else also transmission and made it all chrome.i put headers 4 barrel carb dual exhaust ect.... Short i spend about 10G just so some one can tell me its not passing smog and you cant drive it!!!
cause they are still testing it as a V6.

NOW....
any body, can any one help me out, what can i do? i wanna ride this thing,
should i go to the dmv and tell them its a V8 now?

sounds to like to me you have to remove all the chrome stuff, make it look like a og v8 swap according to any 79 monte with a 305 v8... if I'm right they had a air pump, smog tubes, qjet, charcoal canister, evap system and a cat... could be wrong but research a 305 v8 emissions system.. the engine pic you show wouldn't pass emissions around here.... :| it all depends on if you're Monte has federal or California emissions, the 305 is legal and if you do did the swap correctly then I don't see any issues. add the emissions items and you should be ok! I think you may have to get it refereed then you're good. here is a pic of a og 305 pic.

CA is the strictest state about emissions and to be legal you are probably going to have to replace most of the stuff under the hood with legal parts. For starters you are going to need to swap intake manifolds and install one with EGR provision with a EGR valve. Replace the headers with legal headers or factory exhaust manifolds. Factory V8 exhaust layout with cat converter. Smog pump, EVAP system, PCV, and a factory THERMAC air cleaner. It is going to be alot of work to make that car legal again.

just have someone smog it under the table thats how i get mines done.

freaken eyyyy i knew it be like that... you see im from switzerland and they are even more strict about every thing but i only did it cause of that stupid lady at the dmv and the second guy i ask there too they f u c k e d me good thanks guys for all your help your great

I'm glad around here they don't even check. None of my vehicles would pass inspection.

I thought that's why guys were swapping to LS motors or something newer like that so it would pass ? I am just glad here they don't check for it at least for NOW .
