On this picture of my Grand Am I'd like to see what it will look like if I paint my rally II wheels pearl white and silver to match the car. I also want to see what it will look like if I install the factory chrome trim that runs along the center of the sides of the car. One more thing I'd like to do is re-paint the lower portion of the car the original silver two tone from the chrome down. My 78 grand am was two tone red/silver with rally II wheels which were also red/silver. I have an original dealership cardboard advertisement showing "next year's model" 1978 Grand Am with the appropriate color keyed wheels and matching two tone etc.

Here's a photo of the dealership advertisement from 1978.

Today I painted my Rally II wheels to match the car with the same Pearl/white/silver on the wheels as the paint on the car. At first I wasn't real sure if I liked it, but I really like it a lot now. All I need now is the center caps and some white letter tires.

Yeah it's definitely not as flashy as before, I was going more for the stock look. I was expecting it to look a little nicer than it does. I did have it outside in the sun and it looked a whole lot nicer, but I forgot to take a picture before it got dark. The keystones were nice too, but not my style. I'll get a better pic in the sunlight similar to the same angle as the picture with the keystones.

I think the painted Rally wheels look great! I like the stock look as well. I'm looking to get a set for my Grand Am. Probably just going to go with the regular silver/dark gray painting though. Do you have any updated pics from these days?

Body paint matched Rally IIs definately make it look cleaner and flow with the Grand Am's "Persona"... much like the Firebird Esprit and 3rd Gen Firebird SE... all cars meant to stand above and apart from their kin.
